During our trip to San Diego, we stopped off at Legoland theme park. After visiting there, our family was fueled and fired up about recreating our whole "Lego Island" town. When we got home from our trip we tore down just about the whole town that we have been working on, improving on, rearranging, and modifying for just about 2 years now. Here it is pictured about a year ago minus about 3 square feet of the town that had been added about 10 months ago. moonfreakformula.deviantart.co…
I don't know what we were thinking... We are starting over completely. I have only kept the little yellow and white market which is one of my favorite little buildings and a church and school which were built only a couple of months ago. It will be better though once we get this town a little more established. I'm happy to be rid of some of the more oddly shaped and poorly accented buildings from the past town. Other than that some of my other favorite buildings (not pictured in their completed state) like the multi level theme restaurant and the pirate museum were destroyed a while back when my daughter fell out of bed onto them which left a void in the town which has left room for Lego junk heaps to form.
I'm kind of looking forward to our new layout because our emergency services building will actually be connected to the road (which now goes through the center of town, not just across one end) and my husband has determined a size limit on his vehicles so they really fit on the road lanes. Please wish us luck and better building skills now that we've had a little practice and refreshed our memories of our childhood learning experience. Also please pray our daughter doesn't fall on the town and pull a Godzilla move again.
I have added some stuff to my Zazzle gallery. I'm just getting my gallery going there with cards and bags and whatnot, so please let me know what you think. Here is the link to it at Zazzle www.zazzle.com/moonfreakformul…
I still also have my artwork in a gallery at Artist Rising where prints are available in conjunction with Sistino. The prints are a variety of sizes and available framed or unframed. Please let me know what you think of it. Here is the link to my print gallery; www.artistrising.com/shop/arti…
...And please let me know if you would like to order a print of my work that is not currently available.
Thanks to everyone who has visited my gallery and to those of you who add my work to your favorites. Please check out my scraps section too for some different stuff I do. I hope you enjoy my little gallery.
