Fishing bobbers are like little balloons in the water. Pelagic Invertebrates remind me of a combination of fireworks and water balloons... and the movie Abyss.

I think my position on your sea-creatures has been committed to the record, but let me just mention here your use of light... that dappling through the water is amazing.

This is such a great piece. At first playful and even romantic (the way the three figures are clustered and almost glowing) in the shadows almost leaning into the inviting light. Then you see the bobbers and see that they are less gathered and more gathered-up by the hooks. At that moment there is a sort of tragic shock that competes with the beauty. You beckon to the viewer with the light - this is a good place to go, but you worry the viewer with the hooks - will they be alright? I like that a lot. Depending on how one reads the outcome is really informed by ones personality, I suppose. Ps - I noticed it was a family portrait too ;)
